At Arka Vidya Kendra, Gumachanahalli Higher Primary School, Gumachanahalli, Mysore
It was a day filled with excitement and celebration for Arka Foundation and the adopted school Arka Vidya Kendra – as it was the Birthday of Founder Srinivas Arka, a special occasion on which a Musical Band-set was presented to the school, to be of use in their Sports and Physical Education classes.
The event started with a warm welcome to Arka Foundation team by students and teachers in the well-decorated school, along with officials from the Government Education Department, local Village Chiefs, and the School Development and Management Committee members. The students, teachers and officials inaugurated the band-set by playing the instruments and expressing their joy of this gift to them. The teachers and school officials addressed the gathering and conveyed their hearty wishes and gratitude to Founder Srinivas Arka and Arka Foundation on the special day.
The event concluded with a few moments of peaceful Dhyana and distribution of sweets to everyone present.

Art Competition at Arka Vidya Kendra

Our purpose is to encourage children to unfold their creative artistic nature in a relaxed and educational environment. Arka Foundation India adopted a school with this inspiring purpose in mind.
The school is located in a little village in the heart of Mysore called ‘Gumachanahalli’, and is approximately five kilometres away from the Foundation. The school has been profoundly named ‘Arka Vidya Kendra’, meaning Education centre.

Conducted Drawing competition for students at Arka Vidya Kendra, Gumachanahalli village school, Mysore, on the theme of nature, environment and family values. This activity brought forth the creative potential of children and the best entries were awarded prizes.
